Fhenix and Tandem by Offchain Labs: Bringing FHE to Blockchains Everywhere
We’ve been in talks with Offchain Labs, the people behind Arbitrum and one of the most cracked teams in the crypto space, on how to solve for encryption in Ethereum.
Today we are thrilled to announce an investment by and partnership with Tandem by Offchain Labs to bring Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to everyone, everywhere. FHE was once considered complex and slow, but recent advancements like faster schemes, GPU optimizations, and ultra fast decryption networks are making FHE a reality today.
Why Fhenix and Offchain Labs?
The Offchain Labs team has shown time and time again they have the deep knowledge needed to advance Ethereum and cryptography, coupled with the ability to ship.
Ed Felten and Steven Goldfeder, Co-Founders of Offchain Labs, designed the interactive fraud proofs for optimistic rollups that are currently scaling Ethereum and literally wrote the book on blockchain engineering. Victor Shoup is a cryptography legend who co-designed the first FHE library (HElib) amongst his many other accomplishments (look up NTL library).
Both Offchain Labs and Fhenix are now focused on:
